2005 Participation Award Comments: To encourage participation in club activities, points are awarded each time someone enters and submits a log for a challenge or a sprint. At the end of the year, the MEMBER with the highest point total is rewarded. Non-members can earn points, but must become a member before the end of the year to be eligible for the award. In this shortened (9 months) first year of the award we had 91 members participate in our sprints and/or challenges. Time Frame For Qualifying QSO's: April 1, 2005 0000Z through December 31, 2005 2400Z Basic Award Premise: Earn points by participating in club activities. Categories: None. Equipment: As per each sprint and challenge. QSOs: As per each sprint and challenge. Other: Points are awarded as follows: Participate in and submit a log for a Sprint - 1 point Participate in and submit a log or report for a Challenge - 1 point Do both of the above in a month - 3 points. Thus a ham can earn 0, 1, or 3 points each month. Certificate: A certificate will be issued to the ham who accumulates the most points during the time frame. In case of a tie, duplicate certificates will be issued. There is no charge for the certificate unless there are an inordinate number of ties. In that case some sort of fee will have to be charged. Web Site Listing: Winner(s) will be listed. Endorsements: None. Logs: A log must be submitted per the rules for each sprint and challenge to earn the points. NAQCC VP - K3WWP will keep track of monthly points based on sprint and challenge logs received and post the point totals here. Official updates will be made soon after the 10th of a month which is the submission deadline for the previous month's challenge. Calls are listed by points and alphanumerically within each point level.
