Soapbox:
WY7N - I was needlessly worried about this challenge. I usually struggle in the monthly sprint to get more than one or two contacts. Not this month! All was well.

KB3AAG - Once again I am sending in my log as I will not get any operating time the rest of the month! Almost all of these were in the monthly sprint as it seems not many of the club get on 7.111 the neigherborhood I tend to hang out at. FRANK

K3WWP - I hope other members had more time to seriously work on this challenge. I just had too many other things going here during April, and honestly didn't go out of my way to search for members which was the intent of this challenge. I only just checked my log at the end of the month and counted up the members I worked in our sprint and those worked in the course of my daily 'streak' QSO's.

W2JEK - all challenge qso's were made during the April naqcc sprint on 80m. good fun. 72 and 73 don younger w2jek #1135

VE3HUR - I missed the April sprint and, out of 49 QSOs this month, only came across four members. What do the other members do with the 718 hours in April that are not taken up by the sprint? (Excellent question Don, I've wondered that a long time now - K3WWP)

PREMISE:
We would like to get more members interested in our Worked Members Award. Our challenge this month will hopefully help you to more quickly achieve a WMA. We've made the bonus points a little simpler this year by modifiying Randy KB4QQJ's suggestion for last years similar challenge. Just work as many members as you can this month then figure your points total. You might try calling CQ NAQCC around the QRP frequencies if that will help.

TIME FRAME:
Apr 1, 2009 0000Z through Apr 30, 2009 2400Z

RULES:
Work as many different NAQCC members as possible, making as many points as possible along the way according to the following point schedule.

Making a member QSO counts 1 point.

Add 1 bonus point for each different State, Province, and DX Country included in your member QSO's. Note: W and VE do not count as a DX country.

Your final points total is a sum of your QSO points and bonus points.

Confusing? Let's look at an example log and figure the points.
Call Number S/P/C
K3WWP 0001 PA
K3OQ 0025 MD
EA8BVP 0008 EA8
WY3H 0002 PA
VA3RJ 0004 ON
N4FI 0104 VA
KI4GLH 0106 TN
AB4PP 0118 NC
KU2US 0105 NY
OK, that's 9 QSO's for 9 points.
That's 8 different S/P/C's for 8 bonus points.
So your overall total is 9 + 8 = 17 points.

Preferably QSO's should be 2XQRP, but the member you work can be using any power. The QSO won't count for the other member in that case, but it will for you.

For the challenge, only one QSO with a member counts. If you work K3WWP 5 times during the month that still is only 1 QSO point.

Of course all QSO's count toward the NAQCC Worked Members Award as defined in the rules for that award.

AWARDS:
A certificate goes to the member working the most different members and the member making the most points if those are two different people.
