Of my 73 QSO's, 33 were made using 930 mW power output. I didn't really even think about getting QSO's for the challenge. I just did my month normally, then tallied my points after I made the last QSO for the month. VE3FUJ - I haven't been as active as I would have liked. I don't often join the Challenges, can't keep focused that long. I keep forgetting to check my Log Book, and usually remember too late. This month I have an Incentive. Brion KQ1P - The fall is a busy time at my QTH so operating times were erratic. Tried hard for some rag chew QSOs but QSB shortened many fine chats. Now onto the next challenge! K1IEE - Bands seemed to be in some kind of transition this month. Many times I found myself checking to see if my antenna was still up due to poor band conditions. I did have a few good contacts on 15 and 10 meters. That's a good sign for sure. 73 Dick N8XMS - Free time has been almost nonexistent again this month. Not counting our sprint I only had 6 QSOs all month. Fortunately one of my contacts was a 10-pointer with N4A and so I just managed to squeak by with 51 total points. W2JEK - had a good time with the challenge. was in the qrparci contest and also worked 7 of the new pj stations. also several other contests. 72 and 73 Don Younger W2JEK #1135 RV3GM - I never have been marked start and finish QSO times before this month. All contacts QRP CW only used FT-817 (5 watts) to LW 70 m long at 36 m height. 72 to everybody. RV3GM / KH6OB Oleg "Mr 72" PREMISE: Very simple. Make as many points as you can by making QRP QSO's using a simple wire antenna. Different types of QSO's will be assigned different point values. TIME FRAME: The first day of the month 0000Z through the last day of the month 2400Z RULES: You must use QRP and the other station can be using any power. Only QSO's made while you use a simple wire antenna count. Make as many points as possible counting as follows: A 30 minute or longer QSO - 5 points A 15 to 30 minute QSO - 4 points A DX QSO - 3 points A contest (or sprint) QSO - 2 points Any other type of QSO - 1 point Any kind of QSO above with one of our special event N#A stations - 10 points Notes: Count only the highest possible point value for a QSO. That is, a DX QSO in a contest counts 3 points, NOT 5 or 2. A 30 minute DX QSO is 5 points, NOT 8 or 3. Checking into a net counts only 1 point even though you stay checked in more than 15 minutes. If you QSY and pass traffic, that's an additional 1 point for each time you do so. AWARDS: A certificate goes to the three highest scoring members. PARTICIPATION AWARD AND WEB LISTING: To get a Participation Point and to be listed in the results you must make at least 50 points and report your results. LOGS: For your report, list the number of each type of QSO and the total poins for that type. Also include an overall total as in this example (in red): Call: Pt value - QSO's - Total points K3WWP: 10 - 10 - 100 5 - 17 - 85 4 - 10 - 40 3 - 13 - 39 2 - 104 - 208 1 - 22 - 22 Total - 176 - 494 You may also include comments about the challenge.
