K9OSC - Another stellar Challenge with a very appropriate theme. My toughest challenge was finding stations with the letter "R." Great time and another excellent exercise.
VE3FUJ - This was an interesting Challenge, and I really enjoyed it. I was getting a bit frantic near the end, but then Lady Luck seemed to be smiling at me and I made it with time to spare. So I'm at loose ends as they say. I'll find something to do. Thanks to all who contacted me and also those I tail ended to get my needed letters. All in all I made 49 Qso's for March, for an average of 22,3 min /QSO and they ranged from a short of 8 mins to 54 mins for a long. I spent a total of 18.2 hrs QSO'ing, plus numerous hrs sending CQ. K3WWP - For a long time it looked like with the great March weather, March Madness basketball, fishing, walking, etc. I wasn't going to complete the challenge. I think that would have been only the second challenge ever that I didn't complete. Well, fortune smiled on the 31st. Needing 4 Ss and 1 T to wrap it up, N2ESE answered my CQ in the 00Z hour, then I got on in the 16Z hour with no luck. At 2120Z I got on again and after looking around quite a bit I found S55N and worked him to narrow it down to the final T. It took a lot of time in which I found a lot of stations, but only 1 with a T in the call, and he was very weak and faded out before I even got a chance to try him. Finally I went to 30 meters and heard N5PHT N5PHT K. Not being sure if he was working someone or calling CQ, I just listened and waited. About 15 seconds later, he called CQ again and I worked him to wrap up the challenge with only about 1 hour and 50 minutes to go. Kind of like the finish of some of the basketball games this month.
