NAQCC New Member Ambassador Award

Comments:

All of us have probably experienced the awkward and uncomfortable feeling that comes from being "the new guy" somewhere. This award is a spin-off from our Friendship Club Award and is designed to help make our newer NAQCC members not only feel welcome but also wanted.

Time Frame For Qualifying QSO's:

January 1 through December 31 of the current calendar year.

Ambassador Award Premise:

Work at least 25 different new members who have joined the NAQCC during the current calendar year.

2017: Membership numbers greater than 8756.
2018: Membership numbers greater than 9261
2019: Membership numbers greater than 9783
2020:

Categories:

None.

Equipment:

YOU:
Power: QRP
Antenna: Any.

HAM YOU WORK:
Power: Any
Antenna: Any

QSOs:

Any kind of 2X CW QSO. Ragchews are encouraged but contest QSOs are also acceptable.

Other:

Both you and the person that you are contacting must be members at the time of the QSO.

We encourage you to exchange membership numbers during your QSO but it is not absolutely necessary to do so in order to count the contact for the award. Membership numbers can be looked up in our Membership Database. A complete membership list that is updated monthly can be downloaded here.

We also encourage you to send the new members that you work an email or QSL card as a "Welcome to the Club" and a "Thank You" for the QSO.

QSOs used for this award may also be applied to Friendship Club applications.

Certificate:

Issued when you reach 25 new-member QSOs. A certificate sent to you via email is FREE. You may make a monetary donation, only if you wish to do so. There is no obligation to do so. If you want us to print your certificate and send it via regular mail, the fee is $3.00 per certificate.

Web Site Listing:

All certificates and subsequent endorsements will receive a listing on the web site.

Endorsements:

Endorsements for 50, 75, and 100 different new-member QSOs in a calendar year are available and an updated certificate can be requested.

Logs:

Send a list with one QSO per line containing at least the following information:
Date, Call, NAQCC number.

When applying for an endorsement, all QSO's must be listed, not just the ones added for the endorsement.
