SOAPBOX:
NI4U - Caught a few stations tonight. 20M died out early, 40M did OK, and couldn't really find much on 80M. Had a few instances of my paddle sticking, so sri abt the hiccups! 73 & have a great week!
AB9BZ - Ran my recently repaired fake trusdx to an EFHW, thanks for the sprint, 73 ab9bz
N2TNN - Great night for a sprint, great participation.
KN1H - This month's Sprint finds us still in AZ but at a different Maricopa County Park: White Tank Mountain. This is a very nice park but the noise levels are much worse than we've been used to in the desert. Had trouble hearing anyone tonight, and even more trouble being heard. Thanks to those who heard me, especially Steve, K9NUD Twice! 72, John, KN1H/7
NO2D - QRN vy low this evening. Got the 2 foxes early so had time to chase in the NAQCC sprint. Always fun and thanks to those who do the hard work to make it happen. Pete, NO2D
K9NUD - Nice bands for a change! I made four on 20, a bunch on 40, which was great until it petered out at around 02:30, and six more on 80. Several two-fers on 40-80. All around a great event. Thanks, ops!
KK4ITX - Condx better tonight but I still have QRM in the neighborhood. Best I.have done in a while and would have kept going but the battery finally quit..... working the Monthly Challenge all afternoon. I was using a QRPLabs QMX+ @3w.
Great to see a lot of activity tonight!!
K3RLL - RBN was my friend this evening but tough finding Sprinters who could hear me. Can't understand it; I'm located on a 79 foot "peak" here in FL. ;-)
Thanks for the skilled and patient ops who I had the pleasure of working this evening. 72, ... Don
KE8ZGS - The conditions today were much better than January. 40 was wonderful! I need to get an antenna out of my garage. I heard a lot of calls, and tried to call back, but no success. I am not, however, frustrated. This was one of the first events I have participated in that I could copy almost everything. I wish I would have had at least one QSO, but I don't consider this a failed attempt. This is by far the best I have ever copied. I hope to get a different antenna situation by next month. 73
N9EEE - Joined late. Had a nice run on 40m for about 45 minutes and must have dried up the band by 9 pm. Tnx fer Qs.
N4MJ - Another split night - NA & Fox Hunt. Early stop. Fun anyway. 73 de n4mj
KC3RN - Did okay tonight. At least better than last month. 40m was in okay shape. 80 not so much, but did manage one contact. Gave my Argonaut VI a good workout tonight. Thanks to all who answered me.
K9QEW - ONLY ONE QSO ON 20m AND THE REST ON 40m. CONDX ON 40m WERE FAIR.
OTHERWISE A GOOD NIGHT. 72/73s & STAY TUNED Daryl
KN2G - Slightly different conditions than the last 2 sprints... Worked some great new fists tonight. No great dx but heard N0TA on 20 and 40 but no exchange. I started on my IC 718 and realized it just isn't the same as the KX2. I intend to add a CW filter to it before Field Day this year. Always a great way to spend an evening! 72!
K3JZD - Pleasant Evening. Mostly 40m, last 30 minutes on 80m. Some QSB on both 40m and 80m. But better than a bunch of noise. K4 at 5 watts, 40m Dipole, 80m 107' EFRW. 72, Jody - K3JZD
N1SP - Been a member for quite a while but this was my first sprint participation.
Nice to meet you folks!
AF4PX - Had a couple that I just could not pull out, sorry guys. 20m was better than last month, 40m worked best here. did get afew on 80m. FUN!
NF8M - Op time 1:40. 40 was in FB condx - lots of nice sigs. 80 not too bad either. Always fun to work both 555 (KA2KGP) & 5555 (N2ESE) in the same session. 72 & tnx fer the QSOs!
VE3DQN - Low noise this evening, clear signals.
N9JFZ - Contacts on 40 and 80, no luck on 20. Started slow and picked up later. Good time!
72 All
W4NLT - That was fun. Action mostly on 40M and 80M for me. Good to work the QRP faithful. Thanks for all the QSOs. 72 Andy
VE3IIM - Nothing here on 20m tonight. 80m was in very good shape, some very nice strong sigs!
Always a good time...
K2OID - Much better condx than last month. Down in GA escaping winter rather than my usual NY QTH. Lots of fun as usual.
WZ2N - Fun sprint after a LONG absence. Nice to hear top notch operators as always. 40m was the bread and butter band and I made a rare appearance on 80m. Thanks to everyone! 72/3 to all
K8NGW - Seemed to be fewer operators this month. Everybody watching the olympics? A few QSO's on 20, more on 40, and a few on 80. Three doubles. See you all next month!
WX4RM - Conditions very much improved from last month! Had some QSB but the lack of QRN made for an enjoyable sprint.
DK1VD - It was better than in January (nothing) out of headset :-)) Today could hear a lot but worked KA2KGP and NF8M TU to both
NN3E - STRONG SIGNALS TONIGHT..
72 CUL
KC3MIO - Icom 705 into 288' loop, with one 40 meter contact made with newly acquired Tentec R4030. Almost packed it in during the first hour with only 7 contacts, but conditions improved for the last hour. 80 meters saved the day with 12 contacts. Tnx to all, 73/72 Rich
KA6J - Tough conditions tonight here in So TX. Had to attend a local net tonight so time was limited. Thanks to all for the sprint! 5 watts to a 4btv ground mounted with radials.
KM3D - I only got a half hour - but managed a couple of contacts on all three bands. 20m did not last long - 40 seemed good, and was surprised to find stations on 80 as that is usually too quiet. I can generally only do the Tuesday evening sprints so will be back when I can. 73, Harry KM3D
VE3SVQ - First sprint and fun. Will be back for more
WT4U - First Sprint in a while. Heard nothing on 20m. Had to sign off before 80m really got hopping but QRN was reasonably low. Landed two there and the rest on 40m.
KA2KGP - Good Band Conditions this NA. 40m was the best band with 80m OK too. No 20m. QSO's here in WNY. Rig: IC-7000 at 5 w. into a G5RV up 20 ft. w/ straight key. Good to see 4 Canadians in the log. 73 to all.
K4BAI - Limited time this month with NTS net schedules and the QRP Foxes to work. Didn't check 20M. 40M was quite good and 80M produced three QSOs near the end of the Sprint period. Thanks for all QSOs. 73/72, John, K4BAI
KQ1P - FB, snowing with much QRN.
W1BRY - seems like the last half hour no one else heard
W8GG - Hello Fellow sprinters! I fired up the K2 last nite at 5w to gnd mnt vert. 20m was open nicely at the start , but by 9pm it was gg out. 40 was noisy es busy here in WCF. work one on 40 but lost WB0CJB before i could tell if he got my info. SRI OM. missed a couple more that just couldnt hear me. Sad, most of the sinals on 20m were true 599. Had a long day so QRT early. See u next month gang ! 73 Gregg W8GG
WB1GYZ - Some surprisingly good sigs during this Sprint. Let's hope the trend continues.
WA1GWH - 40m seemed in fairly good shape last night. Closest station to me in central New York state was PA and farthest CO. Was using my 40m quarter wave inverted L over ground radials. Thanks for the contacts! 72
AK3X - Fun sprint concurrent with the QRP Fox Hunt that took most of by time. 72 to all.
WD9EGW - Really enjoyed the Sprint. Lots of activity and decent bands.
Running a KX2 at 5W into an MC-750 on the back deck.
Looking forward to the next event.
72, Chuck
N5GW - I did not have much time after a long day, but never want to miss a QRP sprint!
