SOAPBOX:

K4KBL - Noise level S7 and above with QSB..

KM3D - Oh my! Had forgotten about the sprint and was messing with my Knightkit T-60 transmitter rockbound on 7.035 when I heard Kevin, KC3RN, slightly off frequency. In 'tune' mode my output measured two watts - I gave him a call and, wonder of wonders, he responded! Thanks! 72, Harry, KM3D

VE3SIF - Only a few contacts this time. Noisy on 40 meters here in southern Ontario. I was using a KX2 and the BaMaKey TP-III paddle. Hope to see you on the air for the Ontario QSO Party! 72 Ron

KR4BJN - My first sprint and first NAQCC QSOs! I'm a CW newbie, and am thankful to both K3JZD AND KC3RN for sending their NAQCC numbers twice.

WD4OHD - First time I've found better propagation on 20m than on 40m. Not ideal conditions but a few good signals when the QSB eased now and then. Even so, all Sprints are fun to do. Gave up around 0130Z to take care of some other obligations.

K3RLL - What a fun Sprint! It was like reunion weekend with the joy of hearing from long (not old!) radio friends from NH, IL, and of all places, 'West' Beaver Valley PA! This is a fantastic hobby with some great people. Someone forgot to turn on 40m, at least here in FL but 20m was really good - until it wasn't, getting my "10 & Out" in <30m - just like it used to be. Thanks for the good contacts. 72, ... Don

K9QEW - Only operated one hour. All contacts on 20m except one on 40m. Put my HB rockbound rig to work on 40m contact. TNX KC5F. 72 Daryl

KN2G - Well now! The heat wave brought a static wave too! Some deep fading and at least two incompletes. Had a band of storms east of me. However still a lot of fun. Thanks to all who make it happen. ken

NI4U - Tough conditions tonight. I had to fight the noise to make some QSOs on 40. Still had fun & am looking forward to the next sprint!

N4MJ - Heard no NA stations on 80/40/20 until AI6SL on 20m at 0142z. Checked the schedule at least 4 times to be sure tonight was the night. HI HI Condx were atrocious. Noise on 80 and 40 was 20db over S9. 20m was some better but no activity other than AI6SL Did hear a NY station calling John, K4BAI, but could not get the call. Hopefully next month Mother Nature will have settled down. HI HI 73 and tnx to all participants.

WG8Y - Hi all, Was in my garage dinking on my work bench when I realized it was time for the Sprint. I had my Ft-817 already playing into my Butternut HF-6V so decided to do the Sprint from there. Ran maybe 4 watts from a fading battery but it was fun. Bands worth much tonite. No 20m here & high QRM on 80m. Made 7 Q's on 40m and decided it 807 time. 72 all from N.C. Mark WG8Y

W4CMG - Short-timer thanks to conflicts and noisy condition on 40M tonight. Never heard a dit on 80M.

NA4O - Extreme noise here tonight. Perhaps worst conditions that I can remember. Few stations heard or worked, but another successful sprint!

KC3RN - Rough conditions here tonight. Noise level was S7 to S9 all night. Thanks to everyone I worked. Sorry if I asked for repeats, but the QRN was bad.

KC5F - What a slog! 20m nice and quiet, but long. Good RBN into the west coast, but no calls worked west of Colorado. 40m was noisy, and 80m even worse. I heard one call on 80m, but no luck. So it was 40m for 2/3 of my QSOs, and like pulling teeth with many. Thanks for sticking with it, those who did! 72/73, Steve

WB0CJB - 40 & 80 were very noisy due to Midwest storms. Very unusual to not hear the stations in MO, IL, IA, and IN. Tried to dig out a N8?WV but he was right at my noise level and could not pull him out.

N8HWV - Late start. with static glad to hear anyone!

KK4ITX - My regular local evening noise and QSB makes for low counts. Tried to work K4BAI BUT just couldn't do it. Looks like we had a good turnout tonight.

KE8ZGS - Thunderstorms are on there way. I could not set up my vertical. Had to use my EFHW in my garage. It works great above 20 watts, does not seem to do well sending QRP. Going to try again next month.

KN1H - Got started an hour late due to family event. Conditions pretty rough on all three bands. Was glad to work at least one QSO on 80, 40 and 20M. Strong T-storms passed through here at sunset, lots of storm noise and QSB. 72, John, KN1H

NF8M - Op time about 30 min.

N9JFZ - Started pretty good on 20 meters. Made some contacts on 40 meters through all the noise. No luck on 80 meters. Good time 72 All, N9JFZ Rusty

K6GPB - Could not make contact with stations I have in the past. Had heavy rains this past week. Sprint activity is telling me to check the antenna system. 72 until next month. K6GPB

K2OID - Tough Night. 40M poor, 80M dead. Still managed to make some QSOs. Fun as always.

W4NLT - Got on late and only action seemed to be 40M. Noise level was high and not many signals out there. TKS for the QSOs. 72 Andy

AI6SL - 40m was very noisy, so only worked 20m. Deep QSB on 20. Ended early when dinner called.

WX4RM - Very high noise level on 40 and 80 meters. Luckily 20 meters was open and low QRN levels, where most of my contacts were made tonight. Had fun as always.

NO2D - Stuck to 20 meters cuz 40 too much QRN here. Not much activity on 20 meters. Pete, no2d

N7QR - 99th sprint low QRN on 20, nothing on 80, 40 high QRN, 1 hour, KX3 '58 Vibroplex. How do ya make POTA guys give you their power? Russ Portland OR

KC3MIO - Icom 7300 4 watts into 288' loop. I could hear many stations on 20 but only one could hear me - N0TA. 40 and 80 were extremely noisy. I bailed after 30 minutes with one contact. It was my wife's birthday and although she told me to go ahead and work the sprint I was happy to return to her and talk for a bit more. 73/72 Rich

KE5YUM - Clear signals on 20 revealed a good pathway to the east coast from my QTH in western Arkansas. Thanks to WX4RM and W8GG for the contacts. Terry FT 710, 5 watts, CWMORSE camelback key.

KA6J - Had to knock off early this sprint, but enjoyed participating! Tried out the new FTX-1F on the ground mounted vertical at 5 watts. 20 seemed to be the only band working for me this evening. Tried 40 and was very noisy with very few signals. Thanks all for the sprint!

W8GG - Hello Fellow Sprinters ! Gud fun last night ! I dug out the straight key es found i was a little rusty. Tns to those who copied my old fist. Used my FT857 at 5w feeding gnd mnt vertical wid 10 radials. 20m was in very gud shape here in SW Fla., low noise, es strong sigs, some true 599. Perty gud fer lil'pistols poundin brass. After abt an hr 20 seemed to die. 40 was vy noisy es i was tired so hit the switch early. Tns to K4WY fer QSYing to grab a gud contact. Also a Hearty congrats to Don K3RLL on 200th sprint. hope to hear u all next month 73 Gregg W8GG

KA2KGP - Band conditions were poor here in WNY. 20 & 80 were nil and 40 had a poor wave. Hope for better conditions next NA. 73

K8NGW - Wow, a rough night. Lightning to the North of me and lightning to the West of me meant VERY HIGH QRN. We had a possible tornado several hours later! Started on 20 then moved to 40. Managed to work W1AW/3 on 40. Not a single dit heard on 80. Yet again, a fun night!

WB8ENE - I decided to try the straight key for a change, but the tremors don't help much. Thanks for putting up with my shaky fist. 73, Art

NF1U - WORKED SPRINT IN PARKED MOBILE. S5 NOISE/STATIC LEVEL WAS ONLY ABLE TO HEAR/WORK 3 STATIONS.

N3CAA - Very rough conditions due to strong storms in the region. Not a lot of signals heard, but was able to complete 6 QSOs in the hour that I operated. Tried contacting N9JFZ several times, but the response would always get buried in the QRN. Fun as always, thanks for the QSOs!

K4BAI - 20M was better for me since my tribander stopped working years ago. 40M was difficult with a lot of QRN. It seemed that activity us up on 20M and down on 40M. No activity heard and no answers to CQs on 80M although high power signals were good on that band and I'm sure we could have had some NA QSOs there if there had been any stations active. Thanks for all QSOs.

N2TNN - Very loud noise floor, S-7. Thanks for all the weak stations calling but good to see so mny stations on the air!!

WA2FBN - Storms in the area; had to cut short. 72 Ken

WB1GYZ - Not much more to add about conditions. They'll get better someday... maybe.

W2SH - 20m was open but with a rather shortened skip zone. Only a few stations were heard on 40m with a high QRN level. Nothing was heard on 80m also with a lot of QRN. Overall band conditions were mediocre at best.

AA0W - Poor Conditions tonight storms in the area..40 M only with heavy noise and weak signals.

AA2VG - Very high noise on 40 meters here. I took out the old Heathkit HW-9 and worked 20 meters. I then used my KD1JV to make the one 40 meter contact. Had fun. tnx 72

VE3IIM - T-Storms had it difficult tonight..Heard some regulars, plus new ones for me..

WD9EGW - I enjoyed the sprint. 40 was very noisy here, so I stayed on 20. I had a contact going with KK4ITX, but unfortunately QRN hit and we lost contact. Sorry John, hope to catch you next time. 72, Chuck

W1BRY - Again, slim pickens. Wait for next month !

KB2GKC - GE all. A good night for 20m....it held on for quite awhile. 40m too many storms in the area. 72 everyone

N5GW - Bands noisy and not many ops heard. I could have made more contacts, but had the TX output cut off in my KX3 for several minutes!
